Pripyat

A dead and long-neglected ghost town is widely known throughout the world after the tragedy that occurred at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Chernobyl-2 or OTH-SW Duga Radar

The over-the-horizon radar Duga or object Chernobyl-2 is the largest, most secret and grandiose object of the whole Soviet Union.

Cooling Pond Channel

An artificial reservoir built to cool the reactors of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant is the habitat of the giant catfish.

Abandoned cargo port

Before the catastrophe, Azure Swimming Pool was a very beautiful place. Here the townspeople and visitors of the city came to swim and relax.

Cemetery of barges and abandoned ships

Chernobyl backwater - a place where, before the accident, old ships were collected for disposal or repair, turned into a cemetery of radioactive barges and ships.

Amusement park

An amazingly tempting and simultaneously frightening place, which has become popular thank to many games and movies - is truly worthy of its reputation.

Buryakovka machinery graveyard

By the influence of time and weather, the surfaces of objects at the cemetery became rusty, look gloomy and sad.

New Sarcophagus

The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant's fourth reactor is now saftly isolated by New Safe Confinement, covering the first sarcophagus - Shelter Object.

At the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant canteen comes station staf and separate groups of tourists and travelers.

Music school

This school is a true example of the post-apocalyptic atmosphere of the gloomy, dark, abandoned Pripyat ghost town.

Palace of Culture Energetik

In the Energrtik cultural palace the concerts, parties and sport events were spent. Recently, a sign was again lit up on this building in Pripyat.

Lenin monument

The monument in honour of the first Union of Soviet Socialist Republics leader is still located in the deserted dismal Chernobyl city.

Hospital MSCh-126

An eerie place, where all your body shivers - the hospital, which was the first to receive affected from the explosion at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

Prometheus cinema

Until April 1986, Pripyat Prometheus cinema was the most popular place for meetings and leisure activities by watching films and visiting inner canteen.

Jupiter factory

In Soviet Union times Jupiter factory was a strictly secret facility. Officially it produced rollers rof tape mechanisms for common tape recorders.

Monument to the Chernobyl Liquidators

The memorial set up by the 10th anniversary of the Chernobyl Disaster. Inscription says "To Those Who Saved the World".

KGB building

Shortly before the Chernobyl disaster, here, in Pripyat, located in a couple kilometers from the power plant, the construction of the KGB building began.
