How to ride on the Blue Train in Cape Town
What can be so remarkable in a journey by train? Yet the famous Blue Train in South Africa is much more than just a train.

It combines the service of the world's best hotels, the highest level of comfort and exotic trips in picturesque South Africa.

The Blue Train consists of eighteen coaches, it can accommodate eighty passengers and twenty-seven persons of staff. Of the proposed accommodation options, you can choose from deluxe double or twin beds, with a bath or a shower.

For more demanding travelers there are spacious suites. The rooms are designed with a truly palatial splendor: expensive furniture and elegant decor, telephone, fax, television, air conditioning, minibar, marble floor in each bathroom. Rooms also have a special wide screen on which the view from the engine driver's car is projected.

Helpful butlers are at your service, ready to fulfill your wishes. The cozy restaurant car, awarded for its excellent cuisine, offers an incredible variety of dishes. In addition to the wide assortment of all kinds of snacks, gourmet soups, meat and fish dainties, you can taste traditional national dishes.

The Blue Train follows the route: Pretoria - Cape Town - Pretoria (1600 km in one direction). In 2016, a new route is introduced: Pretoria - Hoedspruit - Pretoria.

How much?

the price for a double suite per night per person in low season (January 1 - August 31 and November 16 - December 31) is 15 465 Rand; in high season (September 1 - November 15). The price for single suites in low season is 23 200 Rand; in high season – 28 870 Rand per night per person. The price for a double deluxe per night per person in low season is 13 795 Rand; in high season – 17 030 Rand. The price for a single deluxe in low season is 2060 Rand; in high season – 25 545 Rand per night per person.
