Visit the most impressive island of Crete, which has been a prison for leprosy patients for a long time.
How to visit the Island of the Living Dead on Crete
You can get to the island of Spinalonga from Agios Nikolaos or Elounda on the boat. Here you will be offered to buy a tour around the islands and the Gulf of Mirabella.

On the island you can walk among the abandoned houses and climb the castle which offers great views of Crete.

The island itself and the fortress as well - everything here reminds you about the times when leprosy patients lived and died here. You can find some objects of these people in the houses where they lived and even created their families, but have never seen anything beyond the pale of the island.

Where to do?
