How to try roasted barbounia on Crete
In Crete serving the most delicious seafood, and especially on the island is popular barbounia - a small fish that lives in shallow water. Prepare it for frying, seasoning with lemon juice, and is usually served with vegetables: zucchini, peppers and tomatoes.

You can cook your own barbounia, buying half a kilo of fish in the market (this amount will be enough for two). Or order in a restaurant, where you will be served hot smoked barbounia - it is believed that in this way it is especially delicious.

How much?

€ 50-60 per kilo (in the market).
