You should definitely walk atop the main place of interest in Dubrovnik - the Old Town walls.
You should definitely climb up and walk atop the main sight in Dubrovnik - the City Walls of the Old Town erected around the historic city center. You'll see beautiful views of the city and picturesque sea harbor.
It is better to go to the City Walls of Dubrovnik in the morning or in the evening (in the afternoon it's very hot and crowded here) using one of the entrances: Pile Gate (main entrance) or Ploče Gate. The whole walk will take about two hours. If you feel tired to walk along the entire wall, you should at least climb to its the highest point - Minceta Fortress. It's the best viewpoint in the city!
The City Walls opening times are different depending on the time of the year. From November to March you can get here from 10 am till 3 pm. In April, May, August and September from 8 am till 6:30 pm. In June and July, from 8 am till 5:30 pm. In October, from 8 am till 5:30 pm. Dubrovnik City Walls are opened all year round except on the 25th of December (Christmas Day).
