The real Rome is here: on the small street of Trastevere, where the music, the party and the rest never stop.
Trastevere, Rome
Trastevere is a piece of real Italy located in the center of Rome. It called bohemian: people look relaxed and happy and the music is playing all the time.

How to get here
Trastevere is located on the west bank of the Tiber, you can go here by tram #3 or #8 or you can use the subway (Trastevere station, line B). But Oddviser recommends you to take a walk: you will enjoy beautiful sights from the bridge on your way to this district.

The cathedral is placed on Santa Maria square, which is also interesting: it's the popular place for meetings, where you can hear the live music or watch the fire-show.

The Porta Portese Sunday Market is the interesting place to visit: here you can buy antiques or just spend your time like a local citizen.

Honestly, the Trastevere district is a sight by itself with it's small restaurants and bars, and it looks really different from the tourists' part of Rome.
