How to try Ukrainian borscht in Kiev
In different regions of Ukraine borscht is prepared differently. In the south, people like to add bacon, in the west they make soup with several kinds of meat, and in the east locals prefer austere version, where the main ingredient is a cabbage.

Kiev, too, has its own version of borscht. It rarely includes garlic, pork is used instead of beef. However, there is what remains unchanged in the borsch - beetroot, thanks to which the whole dish looks appetising. You can eat borscht with sour cream, herbs and garlic.

Borscht is served in any restaurant in Kiev, and prices vary greatly. In the inexpensive place outside the centre the soup will cost 10 hryvnias, in the centre - from 50 hryvnias and above.

How much?

from 10 to 100 hryvnias per portion.
