Just three minutes trip by cable car - and you have memories of this unique and exciting form of transport for the rest of your life.
Funicular moves on rails about 200 meters long from Podol to the Upper Town. Lower station is called Postal area and is located near a Postal Square and River Port. Upper station St. Michael's Square - on the terrace of Saint Volodymyr Hill.
During the trip on the funicular you will see a panorama of Podol, the rRiver Port on the Dnieper and Trukhanov Island. On the top stop near St. Michael's Cathedral are archival photographs depicting the history of construction of the funicular in Kiev, as well as what will be the wagons in the future.
In winter you can use a funicular as a lift at a ski resort - on the territory of Vladimir's Hill often skate skiers.
