Near the city of Alghero is the famous tomb of Domus de Janas, which is, according to legend, is home to fairies and witches.

Necropolis of Anghelu Ruju is archaeological site near the town of Alghero. This is the largest necropolis of pre-Nuragic Sardinia. It was discovered by chance in the beginning of the last century, among the objects hidden in the tomb the scientists found a human skeleton and ancient jewelry.

The tomb, carved into the rock, consists of 36 rooms, each of which is painted with all sorts of paintings and reliefs, which had great importance for the ancient people.

Interesting features of the tomb are carved figures of bulls surrounded by three graves.
