Evzones are the soldiers of the Greek army, an obligatory requirement for whom is attractiveness and growth of not less than 187 centimeters. They honorably keep watch at the Presidential Palace and the Greek Parliament. Dressed in a Bavarian-style uniform with a tsaruha - leather boots with large black pompoms, each weighing about 3 kg and being knocked down with 60 steel nails, so that the Evzones can effectively and sonically walk along the pavement.
And on holidays this action turns into a real show, when all 120 guards in uniforms hold a parade in the sounds of the orchestra.
