Moulin Rouge first opened its doors in the same year as the Eiffel Tower. Then still no one knew that the Red Mill would become a historical landmark of Paris. Cabaret - a place intended for drinking alcohol in a cozy, friendly atmosphere attracted more and more bohemian public living in Montmartre (an area free from alcohol taxes). Artists, poets and even the Prince of Wales, and after Edward VII visited the Moulin Rouge.

The more visitors the more vivid the show became. And in 1893 it was on their stage that the first striptease was performed, the girl took off all her clothes.

On their stage often acted well-known chansonnier, the cast has set 6 world records, as, for example, the award for the largest number of strokes of their foot. But not only the Guinness Book of Records captures their success, but the cinema has shot a few films about their favorable result. In addition, Moulin Rouge is one of the largest buyers of champagne in the world.

For these and many other reasons it is worth to visit the legendary cabaret to enjoy the atmosphere and an unforgettable show.
