Ostensibly in the ancient state of Lykia (it was located in the province of Antalya) an unusual creature with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, the tail of a snake and breathing fire lived. According to legend, it was born by the Typhon giant and the snake-woman Echidna. Having a bad temper Chimera often plagued the inhabitants of the ancient city, but no one could cope with it and only Bellerophon struck her with a bow, and his horse Pegasus plunged her deep into the ground. And since that time the creature lives underground and erupts a flame that can be seen rising up a mountain.
How to do?
2. Choose one of the options to get to the mountain: rent a car, book a tour or use public transport.
3. With any option, you will only get to the parking lot at the foot of the mountain, and then you will have to walk by foot.
4. At the foot of the mountain you will find a kind of box office (the man sitting on the stool).
5. Pay for the entrance fee (you can also rent a lantern if the night is close: climbing the mountain at night without any lighting is very dangerous).
6. Now 700 meters path among trees and rocks are waiting for you. Follow the paved path, then up the self-made steps and in 10-15 minutes you will see the Chimera lights.
