St. Mark's Basilica is the cathedral church, a striking example of Italo-Byzantine architecture. Located on St. Mark's Square, near the Doge's Palace.
St. Mark's Basilica is the most famous building in Venice, the tour guides often starts their excursions from this place. The cathedral is decorated with numerous mosaics made in Byzantine style.
