Strange as it may seem but the plain white wagon by the entrance to St. Peter's Basilica is the post office of Vatican City. Inside, you can buy a beautiful stamp, an envelope or a postcard. Do not forget to fill in all the necessary fields according to the instructions on information leaflets.
One more important thing to know – you need to drop your post into a post box situated in the territory of Vatican City. Indeed, Vatican City stamps are invalid in the territories of other states.
By the way, the most popular post box is on the roof of St. Peter’s Basilica.
