"Headless" or "hanged cheese" - epithets are awarded to the famous sсamorza, which is more than 100 years.

This cheese was produced by industrialists in a completely random way. During the cooking process, the specialists salted the workpiece for another type of cheese - provolone - and hung it up so that the shape resembled a hanged one. However, the salty taste and softness made the "bad product" an incredible delicacy and an excellent occasion for jokes.

If you want to try something real different than the famous delicacies - go to any Italian supermarket, open the packaging and assess the taste of the scamorza!
