How to ride in a boat on the canals of Bangkok in Bangkok
For Thai people river walks have lost their charm long ago. The thing is that river trams, plying the Chao Phraya River, are the main mode of transport in Bangkok.

There are four routes, each named for a color. The most common is the orange one, it costs about 15 baht per person. All routes operate until 07:00 pm.

It is also possible to choose an interesting guided tour and even hire a private boat. A skilled boatman will take you on a boat ride on the canal and the river itself, which is one of the main attractions of Bangkok and its holy pond.

The main boat station from where all four routes start out is right next to the Royal Palace. Choose your destination and go on a boat ride on the sacred river and its canals!

Sasha B.22 March 2016Beware - it is easy to confuse this local boat (15baht) with tourist one (much more expensive). They are located near each other, I recommend local one. The same for less money
