Take Slovenian pletna cruise boat to set out on journey to Bled island.
The only island in Slovenia is located in the middle of Lake Bled that is 50 kilometers from Ljubljana. You can get here only by boat.
The Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary on the island is known for its wishing bell and well-loved by newly-weds: Slovenian tradition says that groom has to climb up to the church by 99-step stairs holding his bride in his hands to make the marriage happy.
The island is also a place for rowing competitions.

How to do?
1. The lake is located 50 kilometers from Ljubljana - take E61 highway, then at the airport turn to road №209. Taking a walk around the lake, you'll find a few quays where you can rent a 4-seat boat and get to the island quickly.

Or board a pletna boat - a boatman will give you a slow ride around the lake, and then drop you at any place you want.

2. Boats moor right at the 99-step stairs leading up to the Assumption of Mary Church. Buy a ticket and come inside; here you'll find a bell that according to the legend makes your wishes come true - pull a rope swinging the bell to ring three times.

Where to do?
Bled island
The island on Bled Lake is 10 kilometers from Ljubljana. The lake is surrounded by the Julian Alps and forests.

November-March from 9am till 4pm, in April - till 6pm, from May till September - till 7pm, in October - till 6pm.
How much?
4-seat boat rent - €20 per hour, pletna boat cruise - €20 per hour per person, bell visit - €6.
