Although the hill is only 92 meters high, it gives you an opportunity to enjoy the panoramic view of the famous Promenade and the whole Nice.
The castle on the hill was destroyed long time ago, it was turned into ruins in 1706 and only the detritus of the walls remind of its existence. In nowadays an incredible beautiful park with a murmuring waterfall, winding alleys among millennia oaks and pines is placed here. Among all this greenery, you can sit down on one of the many branches or take a seat in a local cafe and have a cup of aromatic coffee.
If you go into the depths of the forest, you will find the oldest Castle cemetery, where many famous generals, writers and musicians are buried.
