The official opening of the garden Jardim da Estrela nearby Basilica da Estrella took place more than 150 years ago and bekame a national historycal monument of architecture.
The Estrela garden (Jardim da Estrela) was designed by two of the most famous gardeners of their time - John Francisco and Jean Bonar more than 150 years ago.
The flora and fauna of the garden harmoniously contrasts with each other and ranges from tropical exotics to polar, grotesque plants and trees.
