In the south of France, olives play a great role in local cuisine, because the climate here allows to cultivate whole groves of these wonderful trees. Therefore, in many dishes, olives are the central ingredient around which the whole culinary composition is built. As, for example, a tapenade appetizer - a traditional paste of provencal cuisine made from crushed olives, anchovies and capers.

How to do?
1. To try tapenade visit any local cafe or restaurant.
2. You can try it as an aperitif with a slice of crispy French baguette, waiting for the main course or as a sauce for vegetable dishes. You can also try a duck stuffed with tapenade.
