Get to the top of the cathedral south tower to take panoramic pictures of Vienna.
St. Stephen's Cathedral was built in XIII-XIV centuries, at times when Austria was under Habsburg dynasty.
The Cathedral consists of a church with three naves and two towers - north (68 m) and south (137 m). The north tower - the highest in the city - overlooks the whole city of Vienna.

How to do?
1. The main catholic cathedral of Austria is placed in the historic centre of the city on Stephansplatz. You can get here by metro - line 1, 3 to Stephansplatz station. Find outside entrance, on the right hand, to get to the south tower.
2. The only way to get to the viewing platform of the tower is on foot - 343 steps up the spiral stairs.

The lazy ones can look at the city from the north tower - it's two times lower than south one and there is a lift (ride is €5).
4. In summer time you can take a walk on the roof of the cathedral. On Saturdays (only from July till September) you can take 1,5-hour group excursion that starts at 19.00 from the ticket desk of the southern tower. Adult ticket - €10, ticket for children under 14 - 4 euros.

Entrance to the cathedral is free. To walk up the south tower is €4.50 for adults, €1.5 for 6-14-year-old children, free for children under 6.
Riding a lift to the north tower is €5.
