The best time to see the walruses is the end of May. The most popular place, where the fin-footed idlers are most likely to be found, is Prins Karls Forland.
Unfortunately, it is extremely difficult to get to these places by yourself. The only option is to use the services of travel agencies. A walrus safari will cost you an average of 200 EUR. But even this trip does not guarantee the 100% chance of getting the result. If the weather is not good enough and the sea is not calm, you won't disembark and will have to look at walruses from the deck only.
