How to take a ride through the Andes on a train top in Alausi
To get about long distances in Ecuador highlands the locals came up with idea to lay a rail track trough the Andes with the help of engineers from North America.

Andes Train, Alausi

Most of the workers died during the construction falling down from the height of 500 meters. The part of the road from Alausi to Sibambe is still considered to be the most dangerous on the railway system in Ecuador - 12 kilometers down the narrow serpentine corridor in the mountains in the excursion Devil's Nose train.

In some train carriages' roofs there are viewing platforms to get impressed more with the road and mountain view around.
