The Desert Conservation Reserve serves to preserve endangered species of animals and birds which have found their shelter among the sand dunes. Macqueen’s Bustards, Gordon’s wildcats, Oryx antelopes, desert monitors, gazelles, diverse bird species and other unique animals live there. In addition, the Desert Conservation Reserve conducts a number of studies oriented towards protection of the natural environment.

The city guests can enjoy a variety of eco tours and safaris organized to the Desert Conservation Reserve.
