The Dubai Conservation Reserve, which stretches to hundreds of square kilometers into the Arabian Desert, is one of the largest nature preservation areas in the UAE protected by government. The Reserve covers the fifth part of the country’s territory!

The Desert Conservation Reserve serves to preserve endangered species of animals and birds which have found their shelter among the sand dunes. Macqueen’s Bustards, Gordon’s wildcats, Oryx antelopes, desert monitors, gazelles, many bird species, and other unique animals live there. In addition, the Desert Conservation Reserve conducts a number of studies oriented towards protection of the natural environment.

The city guests can enjoy a variety of eco tours and safaris organized to the Desert Conservation Reserve.
