One of the major symbols of Thanksgiving is roast turkey, so do taste it. You will love it!
How to taste roast turkey on Thanksgiving Day in New York
The history of the holiday dates back to 1621, when British colonists celebrated the first Thanksgiving Day to get encouraged before another hungry winter. And the status of the national holiday was given to this day only in 1879 after the corresponding act of the president had come into effect.

Since then Americans have honored the traditions of their favorite holiday, spending it with the entire family at a hearty festive table. Every fourth Thursday of November they light candles in every house, serve a roast or baked turkey in the middle of the table with other traditional dishes.

If you happen to be in the USA on the Thanksgiving Day, it is your holy duty to treat yourself to this delicacy. The turkey is often served on a large spit-polished silver tray. The taste of the juicy meat with a crisp skin is accentuated by the contrasting cranberry sauce and the gravy with a touch of cognac.

This family holiday brings in a cozy and goodness spirit to every home; and Americans lose track of time in long conversations over a glass of wine.
