Place name: Burj Khalifa
The United Arab Emirates never stop to surprise its visitors. Burj Khalifa is the highest building not only in the Emirates, but in the whole world and one of its great wonders.
The height of Burj Khalifa is incredible - 828 meters high! But how many floors up there? The skyscraper accommodates 163 floors, where hotels, shops, fountains, shopping and entertainment centers are located, as well as luxury private apartments.
Construction of such a giant building in heavy setting of an extremely hot climate even required a new kind of concrete to be invented, capable of keeping its strength under the scorching sun of the Arabian Desert.
On a closer view, you can notice that the building’s structure is somewhat asymmetrical. This was made to protect the building from vibration under the strong winds. Windows of Burj Khalifa are dust-proof and reflect sun rays. By the way, the square of all windows equals to 17 football fields!
